Trash and Waste Acceptable Materials

Yard Waste Collection 

Yard waste is collected every Monday. Please ensure that all item are placed in heavy-duty paper yard bags or heavy-duty trash cans labeled "YARD WASTE" with handles and a secure lid. Cardboard boxes are not acceptable containers. 

Limbs must not exceed four (4) feet in length and three (3) inches in diameter and must be securely tied in bundles. Bundles of limbs and bags of dry grass and leaves must weigh less than 60 pounds. Wet grass and leaves must weigh less than 25 pounds. 

Acceptable Materials 

  • Small branches and leaves 
  • Brush and grass clippings 
  • Thatch (without dirt)
  • Gumballs 
  • Christmas trees (without decorations)

Unacceptable Materials

  • Dirt
  • Mulch 
  • Nuts

Bulk Trash Collection

Bulk trash is collected every Wednesday. Please ensure that all items are placed on curb by Tuesday night to guarantee pick-up.

Bulk trash collection does not pick up materials from evictions, foreclosures, home renovations, or remodeling projects. The disposal of materials from these sites is the responsibility of the homeowner/landlord, contractor, or business owner. 

Acceptable Materials

  • Furniture 
  • Refrigerators (tape doors shut for safety) 
  • Washing machines and dryers 
  • Hot water heaters 
  • Lawn mowers (Remove the gas from the tank and drain the oil)
  • Mattresses (Each mattress must be wrapped in plastic) 

Unacceptable Materials

  • Tree stumps and tree trunks
  • Auto parts 
  • Building or construction materials 
  • Fencing 
  • Sheds 
  • Hazardous waste 
  • Glass 
  • Mirrors
  • Paint cans
