Lost & Found Pets Public Microchip Scanner Station

If you find a lost dog or cat, you may use the public microchip scanner station to check whether the pet has a registered microchip.

The scanner is available to the public:

  • 24 hours a day
  • 7 days a week

Many pets are microchipped, and a quick scan may help reunite pets with their owners without needing to transport the animal to a shelter or veterinary office.

Please Use Caution

Approach unknown animals carefully, if the animal appears:

  • Injured
  • Aggressive
  • Sick
  • Unsafe to handle

Contact Prince George’s County Animal Services immediately at (301) 780-7200.
